With all of the growth in Frisco, what would you like to see open here?

I'd like to see an upscale Filipino restaurant...there are a couple cafes in the North Dallas area, but haven't found a nice, sit down Filipino restaurant nearby. @FriscoGirl

I wish there was an indoor track or two for walking or jogging at a place like the Frisco Athletic Center. When I lived in Plano many of the public athletic facilities had them. Luckily we have good weather most of the year!

I miss the track around the FISD administration building! I hope it will open again when they finish with the HS or have a similar one placed in Frisco

Well planned traffic management at Lebanon and the DNT once Wad Park opens. They've been somewhat ambivalent about relieving the backup that already occurs there every day. Bound to get worse when Wade Park opens. That being said, I'm hoping that Zoe's Kitchen and a couple of healthier restaurants open within a couple of the developments in the 5billion mile.

I can say what I do NOT want to see...no more banks, car washes or chicken places...specifically on Preston Road!

I would like to see a Cafe Express, Crate and Barrel, some more Mediterranean and Greek places.

I'd like to see more food choices and less Dentist offices & Nail Shops. Every new complex that has opened in West Frisco has these. Dentist offices on every corner, some even have 2 in one complex...... Kind of weird

Would like to see the old area of Main Street revitalised with store fronts architectural enchantments, lamp lights, brick sidewalks and a bridge to the newer areas. Also a train station, that has shops and restaurants inside that looks like it was built in the 1800's. At the moment the area is neglected, but could bridge the old with new.

Less chain restaurants and stores and more unique places to eat and shop! Also, park space to keep some nature around all the concrete!

@connie I agree, that area could be a beautiful area like in Grapevine or several other cities in N Tx

Frisco has had several mom and pop restaurants. They have consistently had a mix of several issues...

- the owners have no experience in restaurant business and do. It realize how difficult.
- food is inconsistent and goes down as owner may spend less time there
- inconsistent/bad service
- Higher rent in most areas causing higher prices for meals and when inconsistent people are not willing to pay
- I know several that have closed due to permit difficulties and delays while still having to pay the rent..

@Frisco95 I've owned 3 Restaurant's. I'm retired now, but owning Restaurants is alot of work, long hrs never a day off. Most ppl think that it will run its self...they don't.

A lot of the issues I listed in the closing of restaurants all comes back to owners.. I admire that they try, but it is probably one of the toughest businesses to start without experience.

I do miss Nate's Wings the most!!
