70 acres were burned on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 3rd in a grass fire that started near Legacy and Stonebrook. The Frisco Fire Department, with help from Little Elm Fire Department, Plano Fire-Rescue, Prosper Fire Rescue, Celina Fire Department, and The Colony Central Fire Station were able to contain and extinguish the fire.

Thank you to the neighboring fire departments and the men and women of the Frisco FD for their unwavering and excellent service—especially in the high temperatures. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

@TownHubAdmin: Thank goodness for firemen!! I was hoping it was a controlled burn 🔥 and not senseless destruction for the little critters homes! 😢
