Traffic switch on Legacy Drive between SH 121 and Warren Parkway on Wednesday, March 22(March 21, 2023) As part of the City’s widening project, traffic patterns will be modified on Legacy Dr between SH 121 and Warren Pkwy staring at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22. The north and southbound traffic that is currently sharing the east half of Legacy Dr will be switched so that north and southbound traffic will flow on opposite sides of the median. Two lanes will be open in each direction while the third lane will remain closed for a time while contractors work on lighting and landscaping in the median. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area during the traffic switch and to watch for flaggers. After the switch, drivers turning onto Legacy Dr from any driveways along the road should pay special attention to the new location of stop lines and medians and are urged to use caution in the construction zone as people become accustomed to the new traffic patterns. This traffic switch is the third and final phase of the project that will widen Legacy Dr from a four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway between SH 121 and Warren Pkwy, with an estimated completion date in the Summer of 2023.
