Walking Trail at South End of Harold Bacchus Temporarily Closed due to Coyote Sightings

Loading Image...

Due to coyote sightings in the area, the Frisco Police Department's Animal Services Division has asked the city's Parks and Recreation Department to close a section of the walking trail at the south end of Harold Bacchus Community Park. Please refer to the map for more details.

While there have been no reported attacks, the closure allows Animal Services Officers to monitor the area and employ behavior adjustment methods to deter the coyotes' interaction with humans. For more information, visit www.friscotexas.gov/ 131/Animal-Services and view the Urban Wildlife Management Plan.

Animal Services encourages residents to look over the provided information about coyotes to ensure peaceful coexistence with the wildlife in our city.
