Two Frisco Restaurants Closed for Health Violations During Latest Inspections
The city's latest inspection round (July 5-18) resulted in two temporary closures, though both were resolved quickly.
Fresca Palapa drink stand (2601 Preston Road) scored 3 demerits and was temporarily closed after inspectors found no water available in the kiosk or the three compartment sink, water was restored during the inspection
Desi Village (12455 Eldorado Parkway, Ste. 270) was temporarily closed until a manager arrived on site, scoring 21
Frisco Basecamp received a citation warning for repeat violations, including improperly stored toxic substances, sinks with no water, and raw chicken stored above produce, scored 18
Sonic Drive-In (9265 Warren Parkway) scored 10 for issues including no hot water, a foul odor, and standing water under a shelf, and had to prove completed plumbing repairs within 10 days to avoid closure
Nothing catastrophic this round, but a good reminder that "closed for water issues" happens more often than you'd think.
