Frisco ISD No Longer Allowing In-Person Viewings Of Metcalf Stabbing Video After Live Streamed On TikTok:
On July 16, 2025, what was supposed to be a tightly controlled viewing of surveillance footage at Frisco ISD turned into a social media spectacle when one viewer allegedly livestreamed the session on TikTok, later flaunting knowledge of stadium camera placements gained from the video. One also admitted separately that they had secretly recorded the footage with a hidden device. FISD, blindsided by the blatant disregard for its protocols, involved the police and pulled the plug on future viewings (for now), citing security risks and student privacy concerns. Frisco ISD has asked the Attorney General for legal guidance.
