Frisco Star Party
Has anyone here attended one of the Astronomical Society of Frisco's free Star Parties?

They hold them on the second Saturday of every month (so tomorrow, 7/11) at Frisco Commons Park starting at 6:00 PM. I've been wanting to check one out and was curious if anyone has been. Is it worth attending? Any tips on what to expect?

@ChrisR: Yes there are lots of telescopes and people to tell you about the sky and let you look. Fun event.

@Chris: @Stellenator: They are fun but don't forget to wear off bug spray. A slow paced event and hope you have clear skies.

@ChrisR : Looks fun...I had a telescope as a kid...I imagine they've gotten better since then. Do you need your own telescope to attend? @Tamara :

@Jjj: No. The pros are all out with them and happy to show you the sky through theirs.
