Life Sentence for Man Who Killed Pregnant Wife on Christmas

Greg Willis's Office Secures Life Sentence for McKinney Man Who Murdered His Pregnant Wife on Christmas Day
Greg Willis announced today that Nasib Ahsan, 35, of McKinney, will serve Life in prison for brutally strangling his pregnant wife, Nawreen Tuli, on Christmas Day.
Christmas Day Murder After Chilling Confession
On December 25, 2023, around 1:00 p.m., McKinney Police were dispatched to an apartment off Collin McKinney Parkway after Ahsan’s family members called 911. Ahsan had told them over the phone that he and his wife had argued—and that he had killed her. Officers ordered Ahsan out of the apartment and took him into custody. Inside, police found Tuli deceased on the bed with clear signs of manual strangulation. She was several months pregnant.
Escalating Domestic Violence: Prior Arrest While She Was Pregnant
The investigation revealed that almost two months earlier, Ahsan had been arrested for Assault on a Pregnant Person—Tuli—at the same apartment complex. She told officers he had grown controlling and violent, refusing to let her drive to work and attempting to force her into the apartment. Neighbors called police after hearing her screams. Though Tuli told officers she did not want him arrested, police took action anyway.
Greg Willis stated:
“This was a vicious, premeditated act of domestic violence that stole the life of a young woman and her unborn child. My team fought to hold him fully accountable and ensure he can never harm another woman. This life sentence reflects our resolve to stand with victims, protect the vulnerable, and—when appropriate—deliver justice in the strongest way without putting families through the agony of trial."
