We used to celebrate both Canadian Thanksgiving & American Thanksgiving
However, just I find it much to hot to cook a Turkey in my small kitchen in October

Because Canada has such a short growing season we celebrate the harvest always the second Monday of October
Basically the turkey and all the trimmings are the same feast
Except for sides instead of sweet potatoes mashed carrots & turnip with butter & maple syrup is served
Dessert are same as we have here
Pumpkin pie, apple pie
Then Tarte Au Francaise…French Canadian sugar pie…

I'm having rotisserie chicken, cranberry stuffing, jalopena corn and some iced tea! Just doin it!
