Montana State, North Dakota State travel to Frisco for NCAA Div. 1 Football Championship
December 23, 2024 – The best of NCAA football will meet again in Frisco as the city proudly hosts the NCAA Division I Football Championship Series on Monday, January 6, 2025. The North Dakota State Bison return to Frisco to face the Montana State Bobcats under the lights at Toyota Stadium.
While the 2025 game proves to be an epic rematch of the 2022 FCS Championship game, both teams are former FCS Champions. Top-ranked Montana State won the title in 1984 and the North Dakota State Bison won in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.
“With these two powerhouse teams and passionate fan bases, this event is set to bring unparalleled excitement to Frisco. The FCS Championship not only showcases our city's capacity to host premier sporting events but also significantly boosts our local economy,” said Josh Dill, Assistant Executive Director, Visit Frisco.
The 2025 FCS Championship game is projected to have a direct economic impact for the Frisco area of $10.1 million and a total economic impact of $16.3 million with indirect and induced spending included.
