Frisco Police Arrest Suspect in Aggravated Robbery and EvadingFrisco Police Arrest Suspect in Aggravated Robbery and EvadingFRISCO, TX – The Frisco Police Department has arrested an aggravated robbery suspect who later attempted to evade from police.(December 17, 2024) On Monday, December 16, 2024, at approximately 5:44 p.m., Frisco Police Officers responded to a robbery at the Legends at Legacy apartment complex located at 3700 Legacy Drive. Upon arrival, they found a victim in the parking lot of the complex who was suffering from a deep laceration to the neck. Despite his wounds, the victim was able to advise officers that he was a Lyft driver, and that a customer had stabbed him in the neck and stolen his vehicle. Frisco Police Detectives responded to the scene and, through their investigation, were able to ascertain the suspect’s identity and other details. Acting on information provided by detectives, officers were patrolling near the intersection of 423 and 380 when they observed the stolen vehicle shortly after 9:00 p.m. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to yield and fled at a high rate of speed, at which point officers lost sight of it near 423 and Rockhill. However, with the assistance from multiple agencies who had quickly saturated the area, the suspect was apprehended after a second pursuit and foot chase.The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Antwain Williams of Frisco, has been charged with Aggravated Robbery (1st degree Felony), Evading Arrest or Detention (with a vehicle, State Jail Felony), and Evading Arrest or Detention (on foot, Class A Misdemeanor). Additionally, Williams was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Sexual Performance by a Child (1st degree Felony).Antwain WilliamsThe victim in this incident, who is not being identified, was transported to a local hospital by the Frisco Fire Department with life-threatening injuries. Thanks to the excellent work by one of the initial responding Frisco Police Officers, Frisco Fire personnel, and hospital staff, the victim is reported to be in stable condition.“We are very fortunate for the quick and skilled response of our officers, members of the Frisco Fire Department, and the hospital’s medical team which clearly saved the life of this victim,” said Frisco Police Chief David Shilson. “I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to them for their efforts, as well as my appreciation for the strong partnerships demonstrated with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Prosper Police Department, Little Elm Police Department, Celina Police Department, and the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.
