Traffic Advisory: NCAA championship football game at Toyota Stadium on Monday, Jan. 6

(January 3, 2025) There will be increased traffic around Toyota Stadium on Monday, Jan. 6, due to the NCAA Championship Football Game that begins at 6 p.m. Before and after the game, local traffic might experience delay on NB Dallas Pkwy. between Cotton Gin Rd. and Main St. and may want to use an alternate route to avoid stadium traffic, especially during the evening rush hour. In addition, the following roads will be closed during the rush of traffic after the game:

Cotton Gin Rd. will be closed underneath Dallas North Tollway (DNT).
EB Cotton Gin Rd. will be closed between Legacy Dr. and Dallas Pkwy.
NB, SB and WB left turns will be prohibited at Frisco St. & All Stars Ave.
SB Frisco St. will be closed at Sports Village Rd.

Throughout the afternoon, moderate traffic is expected on NB Dallas Pkwy. approaching Main St., which will become heavy during rush hour leading up to the 6 p.m. game time. After the game, heavy traffic is expected in all directions at the intersection of Dallas Pkwy. and Main St. between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Also during that time, all traffic on WB Cotton Gin Rd. will be forced to turn right onto Dallas Pkwy. and traffic movements on Frisco St. will be restricted as described above.

When leaving the event, some turning movements will be restricted around Toyota Stadium to maximize the efficiency of outbound traffic. The route you take to exit the area will depend on where you are parked [see above map].

Drivers can use the Waze app to navigate in and out of the stadium area. The app will provide navigation assistance based on real-time road closure and traffic flow information.
