Disturbing Discovery: 88 Animals Rescued, 22 Found Dead In Residence

Authorities rescued 88 animals and recovered the remains of 22 others during a search at a home in The Colony, officials said.
The Colony Police Department executed a search and seizure operation at a residence on Alta Oaks following reports of animals living in distressing conditions.
Breakdown of Rescued Animals:
- 24 dogs
- 45 cats
- 12 reptiles
- 7 mice
All animals are receiving comprehensive veterinary evaluations and necessary medical care.
Due to the high number of rescued animals, The Colony Animal Services exceeded its capacity. Temporary housing and care has been arranged by boarding facilities and rescue organizations.
Statement from Officials: "This operation demonstrates the commitment to protecting all animals in our community," said Mark Cooper, Director of The Colony Animal Services. "The health and safety of each animal and reptile will be our top priority throughout this entire process."
A criminal investigation is currently ongoing.
