Frisco Celebrates Start of Toyota Stadium Renovations

From The City of Frisco:
Frisco city leaders joined FC Dallas in celebrating the kickoff of a new era for Toyota Stadium at a ceremonial groundbreaking event held earlier this afternoon.
Mayor Jeff Cheney, FC Dallas Head Coach Eric Quill and President Dan Hunt spoke about the stadium improvements and how they will further position Frisco as a top destination for sports and entertainment well into the future.
Renovation highlights include three new clubs, renovated north, east and west entrances, and an architecturally distinctive roof structure that will help provide shade for guests throughout the venue. Other upgrades include expanded seating capacity, new suite levels, more concessions and restroom locations, and the largest video board in an MLS soccer-specific venue.
The $182 million project is made possible through a public-private partnership with the City of Frisco, the Hunt Family, Frisco Community Development Corporation, Frisco TX EDC and Frisco Independent School District.
Construction will be carried out in phases, with work on the stadiums east side currently underway. Learn more about the new stadium at
