Lyme Disease Awareness for Pets and People
April is PREVENT LYME DISEASE MONTH!
Lyme Disease can impact dogs, horses & humans.
Lyme Disease is not transmitted from dogs to humans or horses; however humans & horses can contract the disease directly from infected tick bites. In dogs, Lyme Disease typically impacts joints and/or the kidneys through the infected blood stream. It can be fatal, especially if it impacts the kidneys.
