Knife Wielding Man Shot And Killed At Frisco Commons ParkAround 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Frisco officers responded to a welfare call near the 8000 block of McKinney Rd. A man, later identified as 31-year-old Logan Holliday of Frisco, was reported armed with a knife and already injured himself.Officers found Holliday in a wooded area near Frisco Commons Park. Despite repeated commands and the use of a less-lethal option, he advanced on officers with the knife in hand. Fearing for their safety, officers fired.Life-saving measures were attempted on scene before Holliday was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The Texas Rangers are leading the follow up investigation.
