Frisco Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Machete Attack at Mosque
Frisco Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Machete Attack at Mosque A Collin County jury sentenced Malik Charles Anthony Davis, 27, to 50 years in prison for ambushing a security officer at the Islamic Center of Frisco. Prosecutors said Davis hid inside the mosque on June 7, 2025, then attacked the guard from behind with a machete, seriously injuring him before taking his gun and fleeing. Surveillance video showed Davis preparing for the attack and changing clothes afterward to conceal his identity. Police arrested him nearby. Davis was convicted of aggravated assault against a security officer and also received 180 days for theft of a firearm.
