Frisco Resident and Suspected Hitman Deported
A suspected cartel hitman arrested in Frisco earlier this year has been deported to Mexico, where authorities say he is wanted in connection with multiple homicides.
David Vargas-Rivera was arrested by ICE Dallas on January 12 and transferred to Mexican authorities on July 14, according to the Department of Homeland Security. DHS identified him as a high-level oil thief and alleged member of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, and said he has also been accused of laundering more than $4.6 million through real estate transactions in 2025. Vargas-Rivera has reportedly faced previous arrests in Canada and Colombia.
