Sunshine Protection Act

I am all in favor of now more time changes - not sure if I'd prefer keeping daylight savings as our normal and having later sunrise in the winter and later sunset - or earlier sunrise if we made standard time the new normal! Will just be happy to not have to Jack with the clock!

I really hope it happens...the pain in the rear of changing clocks and adjusting sleep schedules for 300 million people is just not worth it...

@funacct : I'm actually a fan of this - but agree that it will make for some awkward sunrise and sunset times during the year

@Jjj: @ChrisR: I think the hard part will be in Dec the sun will not come up until 8:30ish. But I'm totally for not having to change the clocks. The older I get the my body is with it

@Stellenator: I am good with later sunset in the winter. I don't drive when it gets dark outside!

I'm in favor of doing away with DST all together and go back to standard time - it's named "standard" for a reason. It is the time that our natural circadian rhythm works best with.

Same here. I prefer Standard Time but gladly accept the DST and abolish the time change. The time change does a number on me everytime.
