US 380 Construction Update: Accelerated Intersection Closures to Expedite Completion
From the Town of Prosper:
Update: To accelerate the construction of US 380, TxDOT's contractor is closing intersections sequentially. While these closures may cause temporary inconvenience, they help avoid reducing intersections to one lane in each direction and phasing construction, which would extend the timeline by months.
This month, the intersections of Gee Road and Legacy Drive were completed and reopened, while the Teel Parkway intersection has now closed. Teel Parkway will remain closed until Nov. 26, with emergency access provided.
Upcoming closures:
- Windsong Parkway: Dec. 2 – Dec. 22
- FM 1385: Early January to February 2025 (coordinated with the Town and Costco to avoid delaying Costco's opening)
These full closures allow for faster construction, reducing the overall impact on traffic and ensuring US 380 is completed as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we improve Prosper’s roadways.
