@funacct : Yosemite - been there quite a few times and find it to be such an amazing and inspiring place. The views from Taft Point, Glacier Point and the top of Half Dome make it feel like you're in another world-surrounded by vast granite cliffs, endless wilderness, and a sense of scale that's hard to comprehend until you're standing there yourself.

I have been to Yosemite a few times and it is a wonderful place. Strangely the 1 place I think about is the Lone Cypress at Pebble Beach CA. I have driven the 17-Mile drive through the Monterey Peninsula a few times. And the Lone Cypress is a must see. The coast line there is breathtaking. In the 80s I was able to walk up to it and touch it. Then it was cordoned off. Now you can only look at it from an observation platform.

@funacct: The Redwood Forest in California! I love trees and those were amazing when I saw them in my adolescence.

@KiNg: we went to Yosemite as a family camping when the kids were little. Such a beauty I'm jealous about you getting to Pebble Beach. Have you played it?

In college, there was this forest behind one of the parks where I'd walk my dog...with these skinny trees, and it always had low lying fog, and a mossy floor....every once in a while we'd get a stampede of 30-40 deer run though, surrounding us on all sides...very peaceful, almost magical. I miss my pup from back then. (pic attached is just a stock pic that looks similar)

@Jjj: that sounds so peaceful. That would be inspiration to go walking.
Mount Rushmore. It still gives me chills when I see it lit up at night.
Italy- the beauty, the food, the sea, the people, everything is spectacular.
