At Wild Birds Unlimited, our mission is to bring people and nature together, and do it with excellence. We try to live that mission statement every day here in Frisco. When we opened five years ago, we knew there were many like-minded nature and bird lovers here and wanted to provide quality products and food for our feathered friends. Coming from the corporate world, it was a challenge to dive into the retail world and open a new store. We opened in July of 2020 in the middle of the Covid epidemic, which created its own special set of challenges. But the people of Frisco have supported us and showed up on opening day and continue to come through our doors. When you come to our store, we hope you find it to be not only a place to buy supplies for your outdoor birds, but also talk to experts who can provide you with great information and advice. We consider our customers an extension of our family and hope you feel that when you come to see us.
Over the last five years, we have seen the hobby of birdwatching grow from simply feeding the birds in our backyard, to providing educational programs in the store, partnering with the Frisco Garden Club to install bluebird trails around the city and also working with the City of Frisco on Bird Walks and Lights Out Texas. It is an honor to be a part of a city that recognizes the need to take care of nature and residents that embrace the beauty of the birds around us. We look forward to many more years of educating our community, continuing our mission and helping to save the songbirds, who we are losing at a rapid pace. We hope everyone will come see us the week of July 14-20 to help us celebrate 5 years!! We know our customers are the reason we are here and we want to show our appreciation. We will be having several sales all week, you can get registered for drawings for free products, we will be having some giveaways and on Saturday, July 20 we will have an in-store presentation with Window To The Wild, a non-profit that gives homes to birds in need and provides educational programming all over North Texas.
